Governor Signs Repeal of Uninsured Database

One piece of good news on the legislative front: Governor Lynch this week signed into law HB 629, relative to the uninsured health care database. Sponsored by Rep. John Hunt (R-Rindge), this bill repeals a requirement passed in 2009 that required physician practices, hospitals and Community Health Centers to report data on services delivered to uninsured or underinsured individuals. The facilities were required to report on services provided by facility owned or affiliated physician practices and home health agencies, thus affecting a number of Association members. Granite State Home Health joined with the NHHA, NH Medical Society and Bi-State Primary Care Association in support of repealing this reporting requirement.
