OCS Reports Reveal New England Has Lowest Case Weights
Outcome Concept Systems (OCS), the keeper of the nation’s most comprehensive set of integrated measures spanning clinical outcomes, financial performance, resource utilization, patient satisfaction and operational indictors for the post-acute healthcare market, is offering new quarterly reports through the Council of State Home Care Associations. The Council is a new partnership of state associations, of which HCANH is a member, that will be sharing a number of new data reports in collaboration with some of the country’s leading home care IT vendors.
The first OCS reports include:
• Top 10 primary diagnoses at SOC (national);
• Percent of patients re-hospitalized or sent to emergent care by payer;
• Case weight averages, national and regional, at SOC and as adjusted;
• Domain distribution: national and regional by domain for 2005
HCANH members will also be receiving a new “outcomes dashboard” report on quality outcomes. Produced by Lewis, Inc., using the CMS data that generates Home Health Compare, these agency-specific reports include comparative analysis within agency service areas, information not available in any other report.
Both reports will be emailed directly to HCANH member CEOs on a quarterly basis. Agencies not currently members of the Association and interested in receiving these reports are welcome to inquire about membership by calling the Association office at 800-639-1949.
