HHQI National Campaign Updates
As of February 11, 23 New Hampshire home health agencies have registered as participants in the Home Health Quality Improvement National Campaign. In the first month, more than 4,300 home health professionals representing 3,700 agencies across the country have registered for the campaign.
The first Best Practice Intervention Package (BPIP) focusing on decreasing Acute Care Hospitalization rates was published on January 28, 2010. Along with this BPIP, other quality improvement resources including Zone Tools, Posters, Webinar, and podcasts are also available. New resources coming soon will include:
* LIVE CHATS where agencies from around the country will have an opportunity to submit questions and the HHQI staff will answer them live for everyone to hear simultaneously.
* DISCUSSION BOARDS for problem solving ideas from home health agencies from different regions on topics such as alternate staffing ideas for weekends and nights and decision trees for those taking call. The topics are endless.
* STAR access to a free target-setting tool at www.hhqi-star.org.
If you are not already a registered agency for this campaign, we encourage you to go to the HHQI Web site and register. As a CMS funded project, enrollment is free and the level of work required is only that which you choose. There are no obligations and no reports to complete.
