Overview Under the direction of the Pediatric Case Manager, the LNA provides personal care and assistance with ADL’s as well as light housekeeping essential to the patient’s health and social well-being. Activities shall be under the supervision of the appropriate processional therapist when the LNA carries out simple procedures as an extension of physical, speech or occupational therapy. All LNAs will receive orientation and competency evaluation prior to caring for clients and continued instruction and on the job support while caring for clients at home.
Qualifications Successful completion of approved LNA training which fulfills Medicare and State regulations. Minimum of one year experience of active employment as LNA is desired. Current registration by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing and evidence of twelve (12) hours of nursing related in-service education annually. Maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must have successfully completed the LNA competency test with a score of 80% or better. Must keep scheduler informed of availability and call when changes in availability occur. Must be available to work a minimum of two (2) weekend shifts per month. If providing care to hospice clients, must be willing to complete hospice training and/or end-of-life training and pass competencies on an annual basis. Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile during working hours that meet the State of New Hampshire registration regulations and auto liability insurance.
