Still, at least five organizations submitted pitches this spring for a chance at one of HealthForce NH’s innovation grants. 

Ideas ranged from education, training, and recruitment to retention and quality of life for those already in health care organizations.

The top award – $100,000 – went to Androscoggin Valley Home Care Services in Berlin, which plans to make it easier for LNAs and local health care organizations who need them to connect.

Hassan Co-Sponsors Bipartisan CSN Bill https://homecarenh.org/news/news.asp?id=672392 https://homecarenh.org/news/news.asp?id=672392 Senators Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and JD Vance (R-OH) introduced the Continuous Skilled Nursing Quality Improvement Act, which would redefine “private duty nursing services” as “continuous skilled nursing services,” remove outdated provider red tape, and mandate that the Secretary of Health and Human Services convene a working group to establish national quality standards of care for these services. Gina Balkus, CEO of the Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of NH, was asked to comment on the pending legislation.
