The Home Care Association of New Hampshire (HCANH) elected a new Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting held June 13 in Meredith, NH. HCANH represents licensed agencies that provide in-home health care and supportive services to individuals living throughout New Hampshire. The Association promotes the delivery of responsible, high quality health care in the home by offering education and networking opportunities for home care professionals, providing leadership on home care issues, and serving as a home care advocate in the public policy arena through its affiliate, Granite State Home Health Association.
The HCANH Board of Directors is comprised of 11 members, who are elected for two year terms. This year the Association elected the following new officers: Karen Michel, CEO Rockingham VNA & Hospice Exeter, was elected President; Sandy Ruka, CEO Visiting Nurse, Home Care & Hospice of Carroll County North Conway, was elected Vice President; Daryl Cady CFO Home Health & Hospice Care Merrimack was elected Treasurer; Sandra Poleatewich, Administrator, Interim Healthcare Manchester was elected Secretary; Elaine Bussey, CEO North Country Home Health and Hospice Littleton was elected to the At-Large Member position of the Executive Committee.
The Association is proud to announce first-time board members James Culhane, Clinical Director at VNA of Manchester and Southern New Hampshire Manchester, Diana Dedousis CEO at Silver Touch Home Health Care in Merrimack, and Rebecca Hutchinson, Director Lutheran Social Service In Home Care Concord.
Formed in 1974, the Home Care Association of New Hampshire membership includes both not-for-profit and proprietary agencies located in New Hampshire and neighboring states that are licensed to provide home health services in New Hampshire. Member agencies provide services for thousands of New Hampshire residents of all ages who are recovering from surgery, injury or illness, have chronic or terminal illnesses, or other conditions needing support at home. www.homecarenh.org.
