It’s time to begin the process for the 2015 Clint Jones NH Nursing Award, which we hope to present to a deserving recipient during National Nurse’s Week, which runs from May 6-12. 2015 Nominating Process
The Foundations for Health Communities is now accepting nominations for the 2015 Clint Jones Award. This award was established in 2006 in memory of Clint Jones who worked with extraordinary enthusiasm and commitment at the Foundation for Healthy Communities and with several other New Hampshire organizations to encourage people to pursue a nursing career. Nomination forms are due by March 27th and the award will be presented during National Nurses Week (May 6-12).
A nomination form is available online. Each nomination must be accompanied by two nomination letters, one from a direct supervisor and one from a peer colleague who is involved in patient care with the nominee. Together, the nominations must address each of the four selection criteria.
- Delivery of patient care, using examples of direct patient care or the initiation of systems that have a broad impact on patient care.
- Communicating with patients, families and healthcare colleagues, using examples of specific incidents or systems changes that improve communicationsc
- Commitment to nursing as a career, using examples of participation/leadership in workplace committees, completion of certification programs, or educational advancement.
- Examples of inspiring other nurses and healthcare professionals as a role model.
