The Granite State leads the nation in “adherence” to Medicare home health services. Sixty-six percent of NH Medicare beneficiaries who were discharged from a hospital with instructions for home care actually receive the services. This compares to a national average of 60%. Hawaii was ranked lowest at 48.1%. The data was included in a report entitled Home Health & Hospice Quarterly Industry Trend Report 2018, released by Excel Health LLC. It was based on Q4 2017 home health data available from CMS.
