NH DHHS Adopts Licensing Rules for Home Health and Home Hospice Providers

The Bureau of Health Facilities Administration has finalized the He-P 809 rules for Home Health Care Providers and the He-P 823 rules for Home Hospice Providers. The Association participated in stakeholder meetings, presented public testimony and submitted written comments on both sets of rules, which took over a year and half to revise. While DHHS has not yet posted the new rules on the Bureau’s website, the rules are already in effect. DHHS has agreed to meet with our members in person or via webinar to review the changes. We will work to schedule this soon. Meanwhile, DHHS released a final draft of the He-P 822 rules for Home Care Service Provider Agencies with a request for further stakeholder input by November 15th. GSHHA submitted additional comments last week. The rules are expected to go before the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules in December.
