The 2020 Excellence in Nursing Awards is now open and will remain open until January 10, 2020. I want to personally encourage each of them to nominate nurses from their organization for these prestigious awards. We are hoping to get more nominations from outside the acute care setting. Home care nurses can qualify for the Gerontological and Long Term Care Nursing Award or the Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing Award, and possibly one of the other 11 award categories depending on the nursing care they routinely provide. We have identified criteria, for each of the 13 awards, in which each nomination will be judged. Here is a link to the judging criteria webpage: https://www.nhmagazine.com/excellence-in-nursing/nursing-judging-criteria/
If they have any questions regarding this program or how to submit a nomination, please have them reach out to me or to New Hampshire Magazine. We will be happy to assist with the process or answer any questions.
Also, remember New Hampshire Nurse Associations fall event: Nurses Night at the Museum will be held on November 20, 2019 (6:30 to 9:00 pm) at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. We hope some of your members will consider joining us for this fun and informative evening. Participants will be able to tour the museum’s exhibits, enjoy hors d’ourves from the Currier’s chef, share a drink with friends and colleagues and visit our exhibitors. We are very fortunate to have Karen Daley, past ANA president, speaking on creating change at the bedside. Perhaps you can consider purchasing a block of ten tickets (heavily discounted) or sharing a block with another nursing organization and providing those tickets to your star nurses as a reward for all that they do for your organization. Here is a link to our registration site: https://nhnurses.nursingnetwork.com/nursing-events/126761-nurses-night-at-the-museum-annual-membership-business-meeting#!info. We hope to see you there.
Thanks for sharing this information, Joan
