Be Better Prepared for Emergencies

Emergency preparedness is a responsibility of all hospice and home health agencies (regardless of licensure status as an 809 or 822.)  The Granite State Health Care Coalition can help agencies comply with federal and state regulations. I encourage member agencies to submit a signed letter of support for the Granite State Health Care Coalition.  There is a member benefits one-sheet attached which will layout many of the opportunities that exist for further education regarding emergency preparedness.

The Granite State Health Care Coalition (GSHCC) is a multi-agency coordinating entity that provides a platform for healthcare partners to come together before an incident occurs to help facilitate a more resilient state of New Hampshire. The GSHCC improves emergency preparedness across the healthcare system across the entire State of New Hampshire! Our membership includes partners from across the healthcare continuum including hospitals, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Emergency Management, Public Health, Long-Term Care, Dialysis, Home Health Care, Hospice Care, Community Health Centers/ Federally Qualified Health Centers, Community Mental Health Centers, and many more. We are funded through a United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) grant, of which the State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) is the grant recipient. The GSHCC is an initiative of Foundation for Healthy Communities, a non-profit organization contracted to meet the grant deliverables. GSHCC members receive advanced technical assistance, exercise guidance and evaluator support, and preferential access to educational opportunities.
