- Michelle August, RN is a Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Administrator and brings more than 20 years of experience to Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services in Keene. She most recently served as Vice President of Operations for Beacon Hospice in Rhode Island, Connecticut & Massachusetts where she received the 2013 Amedisys Spirit Award for her work with Veterans. She is also the founder and former CEO of the Rhode Island Hospice Veterans Partnership, an organization dedicated to improving end of life care for veterans and educating healthcare professionals about caring for veterans at end of life.
- Johanna Beliveau, DNP, MBA, RN is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH). She is an experienced healthcare leader with over 20 years in nursing practice. An active member of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders, Johanna was selected as a Nurse Director fellow in 2015. Prior to joining VNH in 2018, Johanna served in multiple roles within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System, as Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Compliance for Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center and Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Her clinical and leadership experience includes hospice and palliative care, pediatrics, home health, hospice and hospital operations, regulatory readiness, quality improvement and patient safety science.
- Mary Bendel, RN, BSHA is the Clinical Director of Healthy at Home, Inc., a Harbor Care Program in Nashua. She began her nursing career 38 years ago in critical care ICU/CCU. Mary has thirty years of experience in home care and has served Healthy at Home in management positions for the past twenty years. To keep her skills sharp and know what it is like in the field, she still provides care to clients. Mary is a Nurse Trainer for administration of medications in New Hampshire’s developmental disability and transitional housing programs. She is an active member of the Alliance’s Education Committee.
- Lauren Robison is the CEO of Home Care Assistance in Bedford. She has spent over 25 years in medical research for venture funded start-ups in the Boston area. Roles included Bench Scientist, Clinical Operations Manager and Clinical Research/Affairs. She was an original member of the team that produced Cologuard. Lauren has been published in a top tier medical journal and presented abstracts at various medical and scientific conferences. She opened a Home Care Assistance franchise 10 years ago as a way to help people directly.
Julie Reynolds, RN, MS, is President/CEO of Cornerstone VNA in Rochester, NH. She has been working in the home health and hospice field since 1986 and joined Cornerstone VNA in 1994. Julie received her nursing degree from Northern Essex Community College, earned her BS in Management from Granite State College, and her Master’s in Health Care Management from New England College. She was named the 2020 Nurse Leader of the Year by Business NH Magazine and the NH Nurses Association. Julie has been VP of the Alliance since 2018 and serves on the boards for Frisbie Memorial Hospital and United Way of the Greater Seacoast.
Board Vice President
Jennifer Legassie, RN is Director of Hospice and Chief Clinical Nurse at Central NH VNA & Hospice in Laconia. Jenn has been a nurse for 24 years and is actively involved in nursing professional organizations. She is the only RN board member of the NH Professionals Health Program, which provides peer assistance services for licensed professionals experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse, mental illness, stress, or burnout. She sits on the New Hampshire Healthcare Decisions Coalition and is a past member of the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Jenn is POLST certified facilitator and trainer as well as certified in Residential Assessment training for facilities and Hospice and Palliative Care. Jenn joined the Alliance Board of Directors in 2018 and was elected Secretary in 2019.
Dimitri Panacopoulos, CPA, is a senior manager at Berry Dunn, a large regional accounting and consulting firm located in the Northeast. Dimitri works exclusively with home health and hospice organizations, managing audits and providing operational consulting. Dimitri earned his BS in Accounting from Mt. Washington College and began is his career at Brad Borbidge, PA. He serves on the Work Group and Business Analytics Committee of the Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association. Dimitri joined the Alliance Board in 2018 and was elected Treasurer in 2019.
Donna Frizzell, MSN, RN is the Director of Home Health Services at the VNA of Manchester & Southern NH. She began her career in home health and hospice as an LPN in 1986, becoming a RN in 1992 and recently achieving her MSN with a focus on leadership. She has held a variety of management positions at the VNA of Manchester, including Program Manager, Director, and interim VP. A servant leader, Donna’s passion is to impact patients in a positive and empathetic manner and to provide unfailing support to the clinicians who care provide hands-on care. Donna joined the Alliance Board in 2016 and is a liaison to our Clinical Directors group.
Executive Committee Member at Large
John Getts is President & CEO of Home Health and Hospice Care in Merrimack. Prior to joining HHHC in 2014, John held a variety of leadership roles in long term facilities, including 15 years as CEO at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare Center in Nashua. He earned a BS in Health Administration at the University of NH and pursued master’s studies at Plymouth State College. He has chaired the boards at the NH Health Care Association and St. Joseph Community Services Meals on Wheels. John joined the Alliance Board in 2018 and was elected to the Executive Committee in 2019.
