COVID-19 Update

  • For CEOs New Hampshire’s 7-day average of new COVID cases reached its highest point since the pandemic started.  According to NH DHHS COVID-19 Interactive Dashboard, the 7-day average for new infections was 1,192 cases on November 20, compared to its prior peak of 1,149 cases on December 23, 2020.
  • The Buzz on Boosters NH DHHS issued Health Alert Network Update #49, related to Updated COVID-19 Booster Dose Recommendations.
    • This update applies to Pfizer and Moderna vaccines
    • The CDC updated its recommendations for boosters to include all people over age 50, and those over 18 who are in long term settings. Anyone over age 18 may receive a booster based on their individual risk assessment.
    • The CDC also released Emergency Use Instructions for people who received COVID vaccines outside the US or other vaccines in US clinical trials.
  • For Social Workers The Helping Hands Relief Fund supports low income people 60 and over for whom other financial assistance is not available. This statewide fund covers basic needs to help protect the health and well-being of people who face compounded risk from COVID-19. Items include but are not limited to food, cleaning supplies; DME; transportation to medical appointments; medical co-payments and more. The Fund is administered by Easter Seals NH through a grant from the NH Charitable Foundation. Click here for the Agency Helping Hands Application.
