Program Description:

With the comprehensiveness of the HH CY2022 Final Rule it is hard to grasp all the details within hundreds of pages of material. Join us as we pull out some of the detail and key concepts from the CY2022 HH Final Rule. In this presentation we will share what you need to know about VBP, OASIS-E, PPH, QRP and Public reporting changes. When approaching diagnosis assignment, it is helpful to understand the impacts of clinical grouper changes, comorbidity subgroup changes, and comorbidity adjustments.

Program Objectives:

• Discuss highlights of the HH CY2022 Final Rule
• Identify numerous changes around diagnoses coding related to the clinical grouper and comorbidity adjustments.
• Describe key elements of the HHVBP Expansion
• Identify transfer of health and SDOH items related to OASIS-E
• Explore the new Potentially Preventable Hospitalization measure (PPH) and other QRP changes.



Sherri Parson RN, HCS-D, HCS-O, COS-C, BCHH-C, HSC-H, brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience to her role as Post-Acute Education Senior Manager at McBee. Sherri has been an in-home provider of skilled-nursing services, as well as developing expertise in quality assurance, diagnosis coding, OASIS review and regulatory compliance. In addition to providing staff and client training and education, other accomplishments include serving as an adjunct professor and developer of a college Home Health Coding Course. Sherri has authored numerous articles and is frequently sought after for her expertise by publications. Sherri currently serves on the AHCC’s Board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance Certification HCS-H Committee.
