UpcomingHospice Administrators – Affinity Group Meeting

  • October 8, 2021
    2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Hello Hospice Administrators,

We will be meeting this Friday, June 11th at 2pm.  The zoom link is below.  Please join your peers to share program updates, challenges and successes.  There will be time to raise any topics that are on your mind.  I can share some updates from NHPCO on the proposed rule and future target areas for audits.

This will be my last meeting with you before I retire at the end of this month.  I have asked Gina to join me on this call since she has agreed to keep this peer group going until someone has been hired to take on my responsibilities.  I have so enjoyed working with all of you and will miss each of you very much.

There will be time to raise any topics that are on your mind.  I can share some updates from NHPCO on the proposed rule and future target areas for audits.  Please see the PEPPER report summary 2021 slides about the importance of your PEPPER report.

I also want to share this link to the training modules required by CMS of all hospice surveyors.  Open the link and scroll down to “Hospice Basic training”  and hit “launch.  There are many modules to complete, but I found it very useful to know what surveyors are being trained to look for.  It is also a great orientation tool for new hospice staff – particularly managers.  I am currently participating on a NHPCO committee that is  reviewing these modules and providing feedback to CMS.

There will be a need for a facilitator (or two) to lead these peer group meetings after I step away in June.  Please let me know if you would be interested.

Contact Janice for the link.
