Topics discussed last time:

• Plans for Memorial services and whether to acknowledge COVID 19 deaths. Discussion revealed complications in even identifying who may have had COVID as a complication of a condition that brought them to hospice care.
• Current pattern of support groups – live, virtual, one on one meetings in lieu of groups, groups on hold. There are referrals to agencies who do have groups in place by those who have groups on hold. Suggestion to organize some statewide bereavement groups if they continue to be held in virtual format.

Home Health & Hospice Care is currently hosting virtual support groups. Contact Deb Pelletier for info deb.pelletier@hhhc.org •Census increases and workflow •Current involvement with volunteer training and staff support •The Upcoming Hospice Volunteer Education series will be held in October.  An interactive session called SHORELINEs will be included and was recommended by an attendee on the call.  Janice mentioned that there will also be a session on creating your ethical will and a session on grief and bereavement during COVID 19.
