The current COVID-19 outbreak presents unique challenges for people living with dementia and their caregivers. This webinar will focus on potential issues COVID-19 may have on people living with dementia. The webinar will provide an opportunity for caregivers to enhance their knowledge with tools to support dementia care management in this global pandemic. The educators that developed our multi-part program for dementia care education program are offering a one-hour webinar for you and your staff on Supporting the Dementia Caregiver in a Global Pandemic, ON APRIL 22, at noon. This material does fulfill one hour of the time requirement towards the state’s dementia training law. Remember that each employee is responsible for tracking their hours as well as satisfying the five content pillars, which are outlined in the law and on the Train the trainer page. A sample tracking sheet was provided to you earlier, and is attached. I hope some of you will be able to attend this presentation. The information on registering is below. I’ve attached a certificate template for you to use for staff who participate in the webinar on the 22nd. Feel free to change the logo and alter it to meet your needs.

OBJECTIVES   1. Define possible challenges with Dementia patients due to global pandemic, 2. How to minimize the risk 3. Identify how dementia patients may present with COVID-19, 4. Strategies to implement for those affected by dementia

Speakers: Katherine Vanderhorst, RN-BC, BSN, CCM President, C&V Senior Care Specialists, Inc., & Dr. Amy Craven, PT, MS, DPT, CCM, Vice President, C&V Senior Care Specialists, Inc.
