Significant policy changes, in addition to the 2015 payment rates for home health. This program will analyze the changes for 2015 including: What do the Face 2 Face changes for 2015 mean for agencies? Will the changes to therapy reassessment requirements help or hurt agencies? Will OASIS submissions continue to impact reimbursement negatively? CMS has eliminated the physician narrative requirement that has plagued physicians and home health agencies, however the final rule requires physicians to have sufficient documentation in their own files to support the certification of homebound status and skilled care need. Rate rebasing continues and CMS maintains its across-the-board recalibration of case mix weights. Other proposals finalized include items regarding speech-language pathologist qualifications, insulin injection standards, civil monetary penalties for CoP violations, a potential new value-based purchasing program, and
recertification requirements that will increase the number of F2F situations. PPS expert Melinda Gaboury will provide us with an in-depth review of each of these elements in the Final Rule.

Program Objectives:

  • Analyze PPS Changes for 2015 and Beyond.
  • Describe issues and guidance for implementation.
