HCANH affinity groups are collegial, member-driven networking opportunities to share best practices, problem-solve challenges and delve into issues.  Rebecca Hutchinson, former director of Ascentria In-Home Care, is the facilitator for the Private Duty/CFI Forum.  She has experience both in private duty care and state-funded long-term services and supports.  The group meets quarterly.

Topic for Next Meeting:

Wednesday, March 7 from 10:00am – 11:45am at Concord Regional VNA, 30 Pillsbury Street in Concord.  The discussion topic is appropriate personal boundaries between caregivers and clients.  Kristina Ickes from NH DHHS will also join us to discuss the new process for billing CFI for non-medical transportation.

When we conducted a survey of CEOs and Private Duty Managers earlier this year, many people were not aware this group existed.  That’s why I’m sending this to all CEOs and identified private duty managers.  If your agency offers private duty services or CFI, please consider joining us.  This is a free benefit of your HCANH membership!  In general, the first half of the meeting will deal with private duty issues, and the second half will focus on CFI.  The members decide the agenda!  Bring your challenges and successes for discussion.
