The Home Care Association of New Hampshire in partnership with the Home Care Association of Florida is proud to announce the 2013-14 schedule for Rehab Happenings (Rehabenings), an educational opportunity for rehab professionals working in home health. The forum addresses all the latest topics regarding what’s happening this month in the world of home health rehab. As a means of addressing the ever-changing Medicare requirements of home care reforms, many of which focus on the role of therapy in the clinical episode, we will establish a monthly, internet-based, interactive webinar series to discuss the latest rehab tips and topics that are of interest to not only home health rehab professionals, but also to the people who manage therapy, and the providers who employ rehab staff. This progressive platform will feature the latest issues affecting the production, delivery, and management of therapy care for home care. Proposals for changes in therapy regulations, concerns regarding rehab documentation and efficiency, best practice clinical solutions, and protocols to assure skilled coverage and compliance, are just a few examples of the subject matter that will be addressed.
Learn about audit areas of exposure and concern related to rehab, and how audits are spreading nationwide. Understand the programming drivers for rehab located in OASIS, and how to connect them to patient care plans for outcomes. Develop clinical management pathways for rehab care that relates to current PPS requirements. Identify areas of contemporary rehab programs that will change as Medicare reinvents the therapy payment schedule.
Insight into where home health rehab is headed under healthcare reform can show you how creating and delivering the correct therapy programs can spell success for your episodes and agencies. Discuss clinical scenarios, programming pathways based on best practices that are managed for current Medicare requirements, areas where rehab claims fail to demonstrate skill and how to correct them; basically the nuts and bolts of creating and delivering quality rehab episodes in today’s home care environment.
Utilize this monthly interactive forum to focus your therapy programs for success. Rehab staff, including therapy assistants, team leaders and supervisory personnel, are also welcome as knowledge of therapy under the evolving PPS model will be paramount for success in the future.
Presented by HCAF in collaboration with Arnie Cisneros, P.T., President of Home Health Strategic Management, and national author and speaker on home health rehab, these events will feature the most progressive approaches available today regarding the therapy component of the home health model.
In addition, Arnie is collaborating with health systems on the Pioneer ACO Post-Acute Bundling model that will be the home health vehicle of the future, and he will provide insight into how home care will fit into these programs. Arnie is a regular presenter with state association events nationally, and his reviews describe his approach as “fresh, never disappointing, and informative, for any level of knowledge”. Don’t miss your opportunity to expose your clinical rehab staff to the latest in their industry.
