Overview Current Opening Monday - Friday 3 - 11 p.m. Granite VNA is hiring full-time Hospice House Aides! Full-time benefits. The Hospice House Aide helps achieve our mission by delivering age appropriate quality of life care to residents in facility settings. The Hospice House Aide will effectively interact with residents, family members, facility staff and other healthcare team members. Some essential functions include: Follows plan of care in providing basic care and services to the resident including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL): walking, bathing, shaving, mouth care, grooming, eating transfers, and management of incontinence. Communicates with nurses involved in the resident’s care plan; observes, records and reports changes in resident’s condition, status, or other pertinent information to the nursing staff Laundry, housekeeping and maintenance to assure a safe, orderly, clean and comfortable environment. Provides supervision to residents with cognitive deficit. Ensures residents have the opportunity to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social and intelligent activities as the residents’ desire.
Qualifications High school diploma/GED, accompanied by current New Hampshire LNA license Ability to meet all Post-Offer Pre-employment requirements (including physical capacity exam, background checks, etc.) If hired, be available Monday-Friday for the first weeks of employment to complete the required training. Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions Ability to work with minimum supervision Ability to read, write and speak English Physical Demands This position requires the ability to talk and hear; read, write and speak in English, normal or correctable vision, and hearing. Intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients. Ability to minimally lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to provide up to 75% assistance for patient transfers.
