About the Alliance

The Home Care Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of New Hampshire is a non-profit membership organization for licensed agencies delivering home health and hospice care in New Hampshire. The Alliance was formed in June 2018 from the merger of Home Care Association of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Hospice & Palliative Care Organization. The Alliance promotes high quality health services for individuals at home, with the goal of helping people maintain or restore their health and well being. More than 40 agencies are currently Provider Members. We also have Affiliate Members that offer products and services to home care agencies or consumers.

Our members consist of all types of agency members — large and small, rural and urban, non-profit and proprietary, Medicare-certified and private-duty. Members of the Alliance enjoy access to a rich assortment of benefits to help them to better serve their employees, boards, trustees, and most importantly, their patients and their communities.

Our Mission

"The Alliance educates, connects, and advocates for health care organizations to advance the delivery of high quality care"

Our Members

Provider membership is open to home care and hospice agencies licensed in New Hampshire, distinct palliative care units of licensed facilities, and palliative care provider practices. Affiliate membership is for entities that do business with provider members. Individual membership is available to anyone who supports our mission and is not employed by a provider or affiliate organization.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors that represents the diversity of the membership. The Board is elected by the membership at the Alliance’s Annual Meeting in June.

Our History

The Alliance was formed in 1974 as the Home Care Association of New Hampshire. In 2018 the Home Care Association merged with the NH Hospice & Palliative Care Organization and adopted its current name. The Alliance is a 501c3 membership organization. The Alliance has an affiliate entity – the Granite State Home Health & Hospice Association (GSHHA) – a 501c6 corporation which conducts all advocacy activities. A portion of Alliance dues is allotted to this organization each year for state and federal lobbying. We participate in national advocacy efforts through our membership with the National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC); the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Council of States Home Care & Hospice Associations.
