Advocacy

The Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of New Hampshire advocates on behalf of home care agencies and the clients we serve through our affiliate, the Granite State Home Health & Hospice Association. Become an advocate for home health, hospice and palliative care by joining our Legislative Committee. This group reviews bills to determine their impact on our agencies and patients, recommends positions to the staff and Board of Directors, Members of this Committee, often connect by phone or email with key legislators, and can volunteer to testify at public hearings. Contact the Alliance if you’d like to participate. State House advocacy is coordinated by the Association’s CEO and our lobbying firm, Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group. Federal advocacy is coordinated by the Granite State Association’s CEO in collaboration with the National Alliance for Care at Home and the Visiting Nurse Associations of America. Legislative positions are guided by a Legislative Policy Statement that is recommended by our Legislative Committee and approved annually by the Association’s Board of Directors.

The Association maintains an excellent rapport with our Congressional Delegation and staff through regular visits to Washington, DC and in-state meetings. We collaborate with the National Alliance for Care at Home.
